Track Palin’s ex reveals his history of domestic violence

Track Palin’s ex-girlfriend has told how he attacked her as she held their one-month old son and revealed how his parents Sarah and Todd did not want police involved when he threatened to kill her.

Jordan Loewe, 24, exclusively revealed to DailyMailTV how she had suffered a series of attacks by her 28-year-old former partner and said: ‘He told me he was going to kill me.’

She became the second woman to accuse him of domestic violence this week and spoke as he was freed on bail after an alleged attack on his father.

Court documents revealed how his ex-wife, Britta Hanson, accused him of attacking her in front of their six-year-old daughter in November.

Loewe and Track Palin became parents to Charlie, now 15 months, after he split from Hanson.

Both women filed this week for protective orders requiring Palin to stay away from them, after he was charged with attacking Todd Palin at his parents’ home in Wasilla last weekend.

He must remain under house arrest with an ankle monitor and was photographed exclusively by DailyMailTV returning to his home to begin his detention there.

Court papers reveal that most of the Palin family have received protective orders requiring Track to keep away from them and the family home.

Loewe, however, told DailyMailTV that Track’s parents had not always been in favor of involving authorities.

‘He’s told me he was going to kill me and his parents knew that,’ she said.

‘They didn’t want me to call the police. They know, there’s no doubt about it. I think they wish they didn’t know but they know.

‘I did stay quiet each time, I never spoke about anything before this. I wanted to respect their privacy and mine and I just didn’t think the world needed to know.

‘But I’m at the point that keeping quiet didn’t do anything and he’s hurt more people, so it’s time to speak up.’

Loewe said that she was angered by the court’s decision to allow him to be released on a low bail.

She said: ‘I think he has a lot of issues – not just instability but a lot of mental health issues that have never been addressed. I think there’s a bit of PTSD there but that’s not the main problem. There’s a lot of problems and that maybe just adds to it. It’s the same with alcohol, it exacerbates it.’

Jordan said she was unaware if Track, a veteran who served in the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, in Iraq, was using drugs.

‘When I was with him, he was sober for year at that time and there was still a lot of violence problems,’ she said. The issues are there, with or without substance abuse. He doesn’t think have a problem so much as anyone wants to help him – you can’t help yourself.’

Jordan and Track were together for a year before she broke up with him after a terrifying incident of domestic violence in January 2016. Track was arrested on the night of January 18 she told authorities he punched her in the face and allegedly threatened to shoot himself with an AR-15 rifle.

He was charged with assault, interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime and possessing a weapon while intoxicated. The first two charges were dropped in July when Track agreed to a plead guilty to misconduct involving weapons while being under the influence. Track agreed to complete an alcohol-related treatment as part of the agreement. Anchorage District Attorney Clinton Champion also revealed that Track planned to enter a therapeutic program for ‘several months’ to deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.

A few months later after the incident, Jordan found out she was pregnant. ‘Around the middle of my pregnancy, we started going to counselling to try to figure out how to co-parent. In the midst of all that we did get back together and decided to try to work things out. He was going to help and change and go to these treatment programs but that obviously didn’t happen.’

Jordan moved back in with Track in August 2016 and their son, Charlie, was born in September last year.

However things did not improve. Jordan said: ‘He was still so controlling and possessive and had temper problems. I had to file a restraining order a second time because was he was so crazy. He was physically hitting me when he was mad and throwing things at me while I was holding Charlie when he was one month old. He tried to run me off the road in his car when Charlie was in my back seat. He would spit in my face.

‘The last month of us being together was crazy. I was still trying to co-parent with him and let him see our one-month-old. It was terrible. I think he really didn’t want our relationship to end so he just had these crazy swings from really trying to make it work and then when I would tell him it wasn’t going to work, he would go off the deep end.

‘He would tell me he was watching me through my window and would put a bullet in my head, he was going to kill my family. Then he would cry and say he was going to go to counselling and fix this.

‘Nothing is really an excuse. I didn’t know Track before he went into the military but his friends and family have told me he has had anger and violence problems his entire life. The military probably just made it worse, just like alcohol makes it worse.’

Earlier this week, Jordan filed a court order changing her custody agreement with her ex. Hanson, Palin’s ex-wife, also filed a protective order preventing him from coming near her and her daughter, Kyla. Track is now not allowed near Hanson’s home or her daughter’s school and is not able to call, his ex or daughter.

Jordan said: ‘I have full physical custody of Charlie but we share legal custody and that means he has a right to supervised visitation. However I filed to get all that taken away.’

Jordan said that she received a call from the Palin family on Saturday evening letting her know that Track was in jail.

‘I don’t know what they think,’ she said. ‘I think they know there is a problem but I don’t know if they are done dealing with Track or choose to turn the other cheek because it’s easier. But he’s 28 years old – at what point do you stop coddling your child? He doesn’t want to help himself and they don’t take any measures to force him to help himself. I don’t know how you can’t know about his mental health issues. I think his whole family are aware, its been going on for a long time.’

She said that it is not news to Sarah and Todd Palin that Track has problems and that she had even been to them for help in the past.

‘I would call them and tell them. I tried to call them before I would call the police and most of the time that worked and they were able to at least keep me safe and get me away from him.

‘I don’t have any family out in Wasilla. So when I was living there [with Track], I didn’t have anywhere to go, except to drive all the way back to Anchorage and in the middle of winter, when it was dark, I didn’t want to do that with Charlie.

‘A few times, I would go over to their house. I would feel safe at their house away from him and they could talk him down sometimes but sometimes not, so they saw all of that.

‘They have always been against calling the police because then it’s all over the news and a really big deal. To me, the fact that they called the police this time, tells me that it must have been really bad because I have seen him be absolutely crazy in front of them and they haven’t called the police.’

Jordan believes that Track has never properly committed to help for his issues and doesn’t believe that he has a problem.

‘Help has been offered to him. We went to vet [veteran] court and there were treatment programs that were offered. I put it into our custody agreement, it was something he could work towards, if he went to classes for anger management and alcohol treatment.

‘I said that if he did that then he could see Charlie on regular visitation and it didn’t have to be supervised. I gave him an opportunity to fix his problems and if he did that he could spend more time with him, and he never did anything.’

She said that some of the Palins keep in touch with her and maintain a relationship with their grandson. ‘I wouldn’t say we get along but there’s not a lot of problems. For the most part we are civil with each other and they reach out to me if they want to see Charlie – which is usually once every couple of months.

‘We keep our distance. There are members of the family – not the immediate family – that I am in touch with.

She said that the Palin sisters – Bristol and Willow – kept their distance from her.

‘They are a really tight-knit group so they have each other’s backs, no matter what. Even still, they have Track’s back right now and they are upset with me for speaking out against this as it’s ‘disrespectful to their family’. The restraining orders that the Palins have were put in place by the state of Alaska, so they didn’t file for them themselves.

She said that Track contributed to the raising of their son with child support, ‘sporadically’.

‘He’s supposed to pay me child support and he kind of does, when he can afford it. Sometimes I’ll get a $100 payment but he still owes me quite a bit of back child support. I think in the summers when he’s making more money, he way paying more. He works for a directional drilling company.’

She said that she has minimal contact with her ex. ‘I last ran into him at the Alaska State Fair. He walked right past Charlie and myself and acted like he didn’t know us. The last time before that I saw him was at our court date in March.’

Jordan works full-time as the local hospital as a patient-care technician. She said that she was caring for Charlie alone ‘with the help of her family’ when she was at work. She broke out in a huge smile as she talked about her son, who is now 15 months old. ‘Oh my gosh, he is just the best thing,’ she said.

Jordan Loewe’s father Matthew Loewe, 49, also told DailyMail.com that he was worried for Jordan after seeing what Track was capable of in the domestic violence assault against his father, Todd, last weekend.

‘I’m always concerned for her because I think he’s going to kill someone sometime,’ Loewe said. ‘He’s got a control problem and his drinking is going to get to him. He’s going to make a bad decision one day and whoever’s in his way… I hope it’s not one of us.’

Loewe said that he had always liked the Palin family and sympathized with what they were going through. ‘I like the Palins and I’ve got nothing bad to say about them. Unfortunately Track drags their name through the mud and continues to do it.

‘Track and Todd have had tension for years. They’ve got their problems. They just have to put up with it and you can only imagine what their life is like with it.’

He added: ‘I think that if he doesn’t start getting some help, he’s going to end up… He’s got anger management issues, drinking problems and he doesn’t have boundaries. This is the second incident involving a gun.

‘I think it says a lot that Todd had to get a gun knowing he was coming over. He was afraid for what was going to happen.’
