A tradesman who threw a cat over a fence in a sickening viral video has received 400 death threats.
Samuel Conroy, 19, handed himself into the RSPCA after launching the cat at home in Ipswich, Queensland.
He faces being charged with animal cruelty and said he is ‘incredibly sorry and ‘extremely regretful’.
Now the teenager has revealed he has been twice pushed in the street by strangers and received 400 threatening Facebook messages.
One of the death threats reads: ‘I was just wondering if me and a few mates could throw you hard against the wall you sick b******’.
My Conroy told News Corp: ‘I’d be the exact same if I saw someone do this to a dog.’
‘It’s been pretty hectic, it hasn’t been the best.’
He added: ‘The cat angered me pretty much and I didn’t think about my actions.’
He previously told 9news.com.au: ‘I was living there with my mate and it was his mother’s cat. It was always scratching the screens – that wasn’t caught on the video
‘It was a case of me letting my anger take over, rather than using my brain.’
Mr Conroy said he handed himself in to the RSPCA who launched an investigation to find the cat abuser.
‘I don’t want to make it look like I’m hiding. I’m owning up to my actions,’ he said.
RSPCA Queensland spokesman Michael Beatty said he expects charges will be laid.

The video was shared to Snapchat by an anonymous witness to the incident and the RSPCA launched a manhunt to find the culprit.
Footage of the sickening abuse showed the teenager, dressed in hi-vis work gear, pick up a black cat and launch it over a fence.
The helpless cat cleared the fence before hitting a closed glass window on the neighbouring house, as Mr Conroy and his friends laughed callously.

RSPCA spokesperson Michael Beatty said they were finalising the investigation but would not confirm the man’s identity.

Mr Beatty also confirmed the cat is now safe and well following the distressing incident.
Penalties for animal cruelty in Queensland carries a maximum of seven years’ imprisonment or a $235,600 fine.
RSPCA’s 98 Inspectors, who are empowered to enforce Government legislation, investigated 55,405 animal cruelty complaints over the 2016 to 2017 financial year.
