A tradesman has been accused of assaulting an elderly woman and stomping on her friend’s head in a wild brawl over who should get out of a lift first.

The court heard Jesse William Leslie Donaghy, 21, allegedly ‘stomped’ on Jeremy Rhys Hill’s head and kicked it ‘several times’ as he lay on the ground at the Sundale building in Southport on the Gold Coast on December 16.

Ailene Patricia Treadaway, 64, was allegedly pushed by Donaghy during the attack, making her fall back into the elevator, according to the Queensland Police service court brief tended to the Supreme Court of Queensland.

The court heard Jesse Donaghy (pictured), 21, allegedly pushed a 64-year-old woman to the floor of an elevator and stomped on her friend’s head in a brawl over who should get out of the lift first

Mrs Treadway was in an elevator with Mr Hill when she asked four men including Donaghy and his co-accused Mitchell Paul Wyles, who were entering, if she and her companion could exit first.

Wyles allegedly told the victims: ‘Why don’t you get f***ed, you f***ing c***,’ the Courier Mail reported.

Wyles allegedly punched Mr Hill in the head after he was pushed by him in a move to protect Mrs Treadaway from possible danger.

CCTV footage captured the entire elevator brawl, which spread into the foyer of the building and was broken up by security.

Police allege Mrs Treadaway was bruised on her elbow, upper chest, both wrists and lips, while Mr Hill was bruised on his head, cheeks and lips.

Donaghy was granted bail for 23 charges, including his attacks on Mr Hill and Mrs Treadaway, by Supreme Court Justice Jean Dalton on Wednesday.

The court heard Donaghy was on parole and was serving a suspended sentence for cocaine trafficking and production charges during the time of the alleged offence.

The 21-year-old is still charged for possessing 103g of cocaine worth $36,000, 130g of steroid tablets, a small packet of oral jelly Viagra and drug paraphernalia.

He is also still charged with possessing knuckledusters and live ammunition.

Police allege Donaghy had sold $290,000 worth of cocaine, after the drugs were discovered in his apartment.

Donaghy, who had worked as a tradesman at Focus Facades, must adhere to a curfew and live with his mother in Currumbin in the Gold Coast’s south.

He is banned from leaving the state, must not use his passport and has been banned of using weapons or drugs as part of his bail conditions.
