Traffic is backed up for 10kilometres after horror eight car pile-up on Melbourne’s Princes Freeway

A shocking eight car pile-up has thrown Melbourne traffic into chaos.

Cars are backed up for 10kilometres on the Princes Freeway in Laverton after the smash on Friday morning.

Emergency crews are on the scene and six people have been treated by paramedics.
