Train carriage descends into chaos as passengers shout, swear and SHOVE each

This is the shocking moment train passengers shouted, swore and shoved each other in the carriage of an overcrowded service.

Dozens of passengers were crammed by the doors of a train travelling from Manchester Piccadilly to Liverpool Lime Street on Saturday night.

Footage from inside the delayed service captured the packed carriage as an argument erupted and descended into chaos.

Train passengers shouted, swore, and shoved each other as chaos descended on an overcrowded train

One foul-mouthed man was filmed screaming at someone further down the train, yelling ‘get out and I’ll have a go at you’ among a tirade of expletives.

The pair’s argument became increasingly heated as the man shouted ‘If you want to shout your f***ing mouth off, get out here and shout it. I’ll smash your f***ing head in.’

Passengers then took matters into their own hands as the train waited at Manchester Oxford Road station, and appeared to force the man back onto the platform.

But just as they sighed with relief at the loss of the furious man, chaos broke out elsewhere.

A woman, stood to the right of the train doors, began screaming and pointing at the man and another woman stood on the platform.

She yelled ‘she hit me!’ as other passengers attempted to hold her back from the doors.

The man, who was now calmly stood on the platform, looked increasingly confused as he listened to the woman’s tirade.

Moments later, passengers were heard sighing with relief and cheering when the doors of the train finally shut.

One man travelling on the train, who shot the video footage, explained what had happened on board.

He said that the earlier Manchester to Liverpool train had been cancelled so the service was busier than expected.

He added that it was then delayed for 30 minutes at Manchester Oxford Road as train users attempted to cram themselves onto the train.

The man, who did not want to be named, said: ‘We were stuck at this station for around 30 minutes with people trying to get on the train and blocking the doors.

‘There was parents holding their kids so they didn’t get squashed and men in between fighting.

‘It was the people who were trying to get on that caused the problems. The whole thing only finished when we managed to shut the doors and hold them.’

The passenger said the man who was shouting tried to push his way onto the train and was yelling at a woman further back in the carriage because she couldn’t make any more space for him to get on.

He said: ‘That’s when it all kicked off and they started screaming. I was more concerned about the kids on the train getting squashed.

‘I kept getting pushed into the corner so I had no choice but to push back as that started to worry me. I had no room to move and it kept getting tighter.’

It is not believed that anyone was injured in the incident.
