Trans activists slam ‘radical religious schools’ in response to Nashville mass shooting

Two trans activists are demanding the end of the conservative  ‘love affair’ with ‘radical religious schools’ in a response to the Nashville mass shooting, in which they appear to shift the blame away from twisted killer, Audrey Hale, 28.

Eli Erlick, who recently boasted about providing cross-sex hormones to children, posted a tweet with screen grabs to a story about unproven accusations the Covenant Presbyterian Church of Nashville ‘covered up for a child molester’ in 2013.

The Covenant School in Nashville is connected to the church.

Erlick described the school, at which three nine-year-old’s and three adults were gunned down by Hale, as ‘a right-wing institution’ – claiming without any evidence the killer had ‘been abused’ with ‘many others.’

Veronica ‘Nikatine’ Ripley, another trans activist, reposted the tweet and slammed ‘conservatives love affair’ those institutions.

No claims of abuse against the 28-year-old have been made or substantiated at this stage although police have called the grisly attack ‘targeted’ and that Hale most likely held ‘resentment for having to go to that school.’

Erlick tweeted without evidence: ‘As we learn more, It’s clear the Nashville Covenant School is a right-wing institution in which Audrey Hale and many others were abused.

‘Obviously, this isn’t an excuse to attack it. But there are problems with deregulating religious schools + the US’s lack of mental healthcare.’

One twitter user questioned how Erlick knew that Hale had been at the school during the alleged abuse, but did not receive a response: ‘What is the source on Hale being there at this same time?’

Another user slammed Erlick saying: ‘Sounds like you’re excusing it to me.’

‘Nashville shooting was a hate crime from a transgender against a Christian school. Media stop being a cowards and report it as you would if it was against Asians, Blacks, or any other politically popular narratives,’ said another user.

‘You are trying to get into the mind of a killer I see no point in that, the problem is the easy access to very powerful weapons,’ they wrote.

Hale began her attack on Monday morning, driving into the school parking lot shortly before 10am.

At around 10.13am, Hale opened fire at The Covenant School, shooting and killing Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney, all aged nine.

Substitute teacher Cynthia Peak, 61, head of school Dr. Katherine Koonce, 60, and custodian Mike Hill, 61, were also killed.

Koonce worked alongside her daughter Anna at The Covenant School, who serves as a faculty/student assistant.

Within 14 minutes, Hale was dead, as Nashville police revealed photos of the two officers – Rex Engelbart and Michael Collazo – who shot and killed Hale.

In a statement issued late Monday night, a spokesperson for the school said: ‘Our community is heartbroken.

‘We are grieving tremendous loss and are in shock coming out of the terror that shattered our school and church.

‘We are focused on loving our students, our families, our faculty and staff and beginning the process of healing.’
