Transgender woman Jolene Dawson Bratz doll reveals how she fell into the grips of a sex addiction

A transgender woman who splashed out $150,000 on cosmetic surgery to look like a Bratz doll has spoken out about how she fell into the grips of a sex addiction.

Jolene Dawson, from Queensland, started making innocent YouTube videos about her ‘awkward hook-ups’ so she could have a laugh with her friends.

But the 24-year-old – who transitioned from male to female at the age of 19 – said the ‘pressure’ to find ‘new and interesting sex stories’ for her channel quickly escalated.

As she found herself having sex up to 10 times in one day, the self-confessed sex addict revealed how she slept with about 90 men within six months.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia exclusively, Jolene – who was born male but now identifies as a woman – has told of how her pursuit of frequent hook-ups made her turn her life around to become celibate.

When she started creating content for her YouTube channel, Jolene she became fixated on the ‘constant affirmation’ from her viewers.

‘That led me to becoming a sex addict,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I started to feel the pressure to have more stories, so I began hunting for new interesting sex stories for my channel. I thought more sex meant more story times, which meant more money and more followers.

‘After about three months into it, I was having sex sometimes 10 times a day and it was no longer about making content, it was about having a lot of sex.

‘It began impacting my work, I just wouldn’t go to work at all so I could have sex.’

Jolene said she started running out of money because she was no longer working.

‘I wasn’t working but I couldn’t stop. I would have sex with at least four men a night,’ she said.

‘But while I was living like this I felt lonelier than ever, I felt like sex made the world go round and I was treating myself like a commodity.’

Despite having safe sex with everyone, Jolene said her turning point came after she started fearing about catching sexually transmitted diseases.

‘I just thought “is this worth it?” I definitely need to stop… The turning point for me was the crippling fear I had about STIs,’ she said.

‘Even though I was doing everything to prevent STIs, I still would worry but luckily I never contracted anything. However, it was still a dangerous game to play.’

‘It was my breaking point,’ she said.

After turning her life around two months ago, Jolene said she’s now in a happier place.

‘I’ve been celibate for two months now and I’m happy to say I’ve started making YouTube videos again that aren’t about my sex life,’ she said.

‘They don’t get as many views but I’m enjoying them again. I wish our society wasn’t so sex obsessed but I’m glad I got to grow and learn from this.

‘Now that I’m back to financial stability I’ve decided to donate $5,000 to a local sexual health clinic.’

Jolene first made headlines in early 2017 after she revealed she had forked out tens of thousands of dollars on plastic surgery to look like a Bratz doll.

She underwent multiple procedures, including a breast augmentation, forehead fillers, jaw slimming and removing her belly button so she could be ‘less human’.

However, Jolene confirm she’s ‘no longer on a quest to look like a Bratz doll’.

‘I think that journey really contributed to my own self sexualisation and was just as harmful to how I see myself as the sex addiction,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘I’ve spent roughly $150,000 on plastic surgery to look like a Bratz doll and another $60,000 on reversing the work that was unnecessary.

‘While in LA earlier this year I spoke to a surgeon who advised I leave my face alone so I will.’

For now, Jolene said she’s focusing on creating new YouTube content about her life.

‘I’m mostly just focusing on creating new content that isn’t so sex focused,’ she said.

By sharing her story, Jolene said she wanted to break the stigma – and be the voice for those who feel too ashamed to speak out about their sex addiction.
