A group of travellers twice evicted from a Bedfordshire village have set up a camp for a third time – just a mile from their previous sites.
The group were kicked off land beneath near the M1 at the beginning of June, after an estimated hundred tons of fly-tipped waste built up next to the site.
After moving to a site half-a-mile away, they were again moved on, but have now set up camp around the corner near Sundon, north of Luton.

Locals are angry about the cost to the taxpayer, with a security company reportedly brought in to protect the site of their last emcampment.
Around 16 caravans, with accompanying trucks, cars and tents have been put near the village, in the latest move in an ongoing battle between local authorities and the group.
Central Bedfordshire Council previously worked with landowner Highways England to move the travellers off land next to the M1’s Junction 12 near Flitwick.
Bailiffs were called in to move the 20 to 30 caravans which were on the site on that occasion, before the group moved to land half a mile away.
When that camp was also broken up and dispersed, the group found the latest field on which to live.
It comes a week after the town council in nearby Houghton Regis was forced to pay £4,500 on bailiffs to remove travellers from its Village Green.
On that occasion, bollards were broken by the group as they gained access to the park, which includes a children’s playground.
Meanwhile, rubbish remains at the nearby site which the group were forced to leave
