Trent Robinson selflessly GAVE AWAY his premiership ring just

Roosters coach Trent Robinson has revealed that he handed over his premiership ring to benched forward, Lindsey Collins, just moments after their victory on Sunday.

After a Grand Final victory from the Roosters over Melbourne Storm, Robinson pulled Collins aside in the midst of change room madness.

The winning-coach gave away the premiership ring he earned for leading the victorious side, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Collins stood in as prop in the Sydney side’s preliminary final win over the Rabbitohs.

The 22-year-old player was pulled from bench after Queensland prop Dylan Napa was suspended for three games for his flying tackle against the Broncos.

Despite his high-hopes to make the 17-man squad in Sunday’s face-off against the Melbourne side, he was cut in the last moment to make way for Napa.

Ahead of the game, the popular Roosters player said ‘It would be bittersweet,’ to lose out on the opportunity to play.

‘But having ‘Naps’ in the team, it’s the best team the Roosters can put on the park, and we need to give ourselves every chance to win that grand final.

‘I’d look at it like I’ve done my part for the team this year, I’ve done everything I can whilst Naps has been away. I’m just happy with the performances I’ve been putting in.

Robinson – who is known for once donning a mullet and missing a tooth – said one of the main reasons he joined the teams was because of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Dylan Napa.

‘In my opinion they’re the best front-rowers in the game,’ he said.

The Rooster took-out the Storm in a 21-6 win in the 2018 NRL Grand Final at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.
