Trenton police officer saves suicidal man

A New Jersey police officer saved the life of a suicidal man who was clinging to a window ledge from his 8th floor apartment. 

Officer Freddy Jimenez of Trenton police department in New Jersey was wearing a body camera during the dramatic incident. 

On seeing the man, Jimenez immediately calls for back up but is forced to intervene to save the man’s life.

During the footage, Jimenez tells the man: ‘Sir, please don’t! Sir, hang on! I am here to help you, please!’

The incident happened on Sunday morning. 

The man, whose wife had recently died can be heard repeating ‘do it, do it, do it’. 

Jiminez tells the man: ‘I don’t want you to die.’ 

The officer grabbed the man and hauled him into the building.  

According to NJ.com, Jimenez graduated from the police academy in October 2016.
