Trinny Woodall attends Claridge’s Christmas Tree Party

She became a household name herself after fronting BBC’s style series What Not to Wear from 2001 to 2005 with pal Susannah Constantine.

And continuing to push the fashion boundaries, Trinny Woodall, 53, stepped out in her trademark kooky style as she attended Claridge’s Christmas Tree Party on Tuesday night in a pair of metallic brogues.

The presenter – who currently fronts a fashion segment on This Morning – opted to mix glamour and comfort for the evening as she teamed her sensible shoes with her glittering Temperley London ensemble.

Shoesday! Trinny Woodall, 53, stepped out in her trademark kooky style as she attended Claridge’s Christmas Tree Party on Tuesday night in a pair of metallic brogues

Her ice blue sequin look featured an iridescent hue as she posed infront of the eye-catching tree – which was designed by fashion tastemaker Karl Lagerfeld.

The long-sleeved garment oozed festive vibes as it flared into a chic pleated skirt with chiffon panels which highlighted her quirky style of shoe.

She worked her brunette tresses into a voluminous curl while she accentuated her age-defying complexion with a slick of red lipstick.

Before posing at the star-studded bash, Trinny took to Instagram to describe her fashion choices in great detail in a short video.

She said excitedly: ‘Outfit of the day is a little shimmer, shimmer, shimmer. Temperley London I couldn’t resist.

‘I saw it over the weekend and it’s my one expensive purchase this season and I’m wearing it tonight with brogues because the Lady Garden Gala is going on and I have to get up on stage and do something.

Adding: ‘I kind of felt it was cooler otherwise I would be the guest from Dancing on Star or Ice’.

Captioning the video, she echoed many of the same sentiments in the clip, writing: ‘Outfit of the day why wear only a sequin top when you can have head to toe sparkles???
