A killer truckie was intercepted driving with a self-proclaimed ‘good witch’ the day before he took the lives of four police officers on a Melbourne freeway.
The details come as the truck driver’s boss, Connect Logistics manager Simiona Tuteru, faces 82 charges including manslaughter over the Eastern Freeway fatality.
Employee Mohinder Singh had been using and dealing ice, speaking about seeing ghosts and witches, and thought he was getting fired before he veered into the officers on April 22, 2020.

Self-described ‘good witch’ Glenys Nannup (pictured) was with Singh when he was pulled over by police the day before the accident
Early the previous day, he was pulled over by police on his way to a Cranbourne McDonald’s with self-described ‘good witch’ Glenys Nannup.
Singh handed over his details and was allowed to keep driving.
Ms Nannup told Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday the pair had used ice beforehand as she accompanied Singh on deliveries.
‘He started to freak me out. Not freak me out, but don’t go there with me. I am very spiritual,’ she said in court documents.
‘(Singh) started talking about seeing shadows. It was during that conversation I told him I was a good witch. I thought he was trying to “cook me”, messing with my head.

‘I said “don’t mess with me or I will mess with your head”.
‘It was after we had injected that his driving turned to s***. He was swerving, shutting his eyes, as in falling asleep. He couldn’t concentrate.’
Tuteru is accused of directing or requiring Singh to work while he was fatigued, and multiple breaches of heavy vehicle regulations.
He’s also charged with obtaining financial advantage by deception for time sheets allegedly submitted in a false name to hide the real number of hours worked.

Singh was in April jailed for up to 22 years after admitting culpable driving causing the deaths of Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, and constables Glen Humphris and Josh Prestney.
The court was earlier told Singh insisted on delivering a ‘very important load’ that day.
‘He said that his boss and him prayed together and that his boss had ‘cleaned his spirit’ and got rid of the curse,’ fellow truck driver Michael Horrocks said.
He also told the court Singh spoke about being possessed by a witch, but said he was feeling better after the prayer. He planned to ‘deliver this one load and go home and rest’.
Tuteru’s committal hearing is due to continue on Friday.
