Donald Trump claims Fox News is ‘only getting worse’ as he slams his favorite network and Democratic contributor Donna Brazile as he touts 50 per cent approval rating

Donald Trump launched another attack Sunday on his favorite television network, claiming that Fox News is ‘not what it used to be.’
‘Rasmussen at 50%. @MediaBuzzFNC & @FoxNews are only getting worse!’ he lamented in a tweet sent from the Group of Seven summit in Biarritz, France on Sunday. ‘Now @donnabrazile & others on Fox. Not what it used to be!’
While issuing the attack on the two networks, Trump touted his most recent presidential approval rating from Rasmussen Reports from Friday, which had him at 50 per cent approval. His approval rating has hovered in the mid-40s to 50 per cent this summer.
His tweet specifically called out Fox News contributor Donna Brazile, and former chair of the Democratic National Committee, as making the network ‘worse.’

Brazile, who served as the Democratic National Committee chairman from July 2016 – February 2017, signed on with Fox in March 2019
Brazile, who became a contributor for the right-leaning network in March 2019, responded on Twitter, invoking first lady Melania Trump’s public awareness campaign ‘Be Best,’ which focuses on youth cyberbullying.

Earlier this summer, Trump began slamming Fox News after the network remained mostly clear of the president’s criticism.
He claimed that the network gave in and began covering his presidency negatively just like all the other outlets he deems ‘fake news.’

Brazile was ousted from CNN as an on-air contributor in October 2016 after emails revealed that she tipped off Hillary Clinton’s aides about what questions would likely be asked by CNN moderators during the debates and town hall meetings carried by the network.
She was highly supportive of Clinton’s candidacy, and upon hiring her, Fox said Brazile would comment on the upcoming presidential campaign on Fox News and Fox Business Network.
DNC Chairman Tom Perez already said Fox News would not be permitted to host any of the Democratic primary debates in the 2020 elections.
