Trump hits the golf links again after Christmas tweet

President Donald Trump scheduled a tee time at one of his Florida golf courses just a day after tweeting it was time to get ‘back to work.’

The White House confirmed that Trump was golfing with Georgia Sen. David Perdue, along with two PGA players: Bryson DeChambau, a member of the PGA tour, and former PGA player Dana Quigley.

The president’s stint at the Trump International Golf Course, located a short drive from Mar-a-Lago where he is staying, comes a day after the president tweeted it was time to get to work on something besides his golf swing.

‘I hope everyone is having a great Christmas, then tomorrow it’s back to work in order to Make America Great Again (which is happening faster than anyone anticipated)!’ the president wrote.

Then early Tuesday morning, the president gave indications he was going to do just that – by vowing to work with Democrats on health care and taking shots at the FBI and the infamous golden showers dossier.

It was Trump’s 85th visit to one of his golf properties, according to NBC News, which also calculated it was his 39th day at Mar-a-Lago during his presidency.

The Washington Post reported this summer that Trump’s trips to Mar-a-Lago cost the government $6.6 million in Secret Service costs alone.

Trump during the campaign regularly mocked President Obama for playing too much golf as president.

Trump had an online presence before 7 am, when he tweeted about working with Democrats and wrote about a part of the new tax cut law includes a repeal of the Obamacare individual mandate requiring people buy insurance.

‘Based on the fact that the very unfair and unpopular Individual Mandate has been terminated as part of our Tax Cut Bill, which essentially Repeals (over time) ObamaCare, the Democrats & Republicans will eventually come together and develop a great new HealthCare plan!’ Trump wrote.

Before 8:30 AM, he was going after the ‘bogus’ golden showers dossier, which he called a ‘Crooked Hillary pile of garbage,’ calling saying ‘FBI TAINTED.’

That preceded several hours of Twitter silence from the president.
