Trump makes a joke about being ‘involved’ with models as he talks about coronavirus DEATH

President Donald Trump was torn to shreds on Twitter after cracking an ‘insensitive’ joke about being involved with models while discussing the coronavirus death trajectory.

The comments were made during a Friday press conference at the White House, where Trump had been commenting on the number of people who would die from COVID-19.

‘The models show hundreds of thousands of people are going to die and you know what I want to do? I want to come way under the model,’ he said. ‘The professionals did the models and I was never involved in a model. At least this kind of a model.’

First Lady Melania Trump was a former model prior to the pair marrying in 2005.

There are currently more than 278,000 cases of people testing positive with the coronavirus while some 7,166 Americans across the country have died.

Trump’s joke was immediately slammed on social media, with many feeling the comment was inappropriate given the nature of what he was discussing at the time.

‘Trump just joked about epidemiological models, ya know where thousands of people die, and compared it to the other kind of model, like the kind he’s molested and raped. Hey @realDonaldTrump, am I lying? Then sue me b***h,’ declared Chip Franklin.

Numerous women have accused the President of sexual assault and rape. The President has denied all accusations.

The Palmer Report cosigned: ‘Americans are dying and Donald Trump is up there joking about how he banged a model or raped a model or something.’

Amy Siskind commented on the joke and on how Friday was the deadliest day of the disease in the United States, stating that ‘tiny hands’ were ‘covered in American blood.’

Another added: ‘Trump slips in a joke about banging a model into his discussion of mass mortality.’

Some users noticed that Vice President Mike Pence was stoically standing behind President Trump as he made the incendiary remark.

‘Thoughts and prayers for Pence literally standing behind Trump as he brags about having sex with models while talking about hundreds of thousands Americans dying,’ said Matt Rogers.

But most just expressed disbelief that Trump would even make a joke like that during the presser.

One user declared: ‘OH MY F****G GOD. Trump says ‘the models say 100,000 people could die. I’ve never been involved in the model. At least not *that* kind of model.

‘He’s cracking jokes about banging supermodels in the same breath as talking about a six figure death count. REMOVE HIM.’

On Friday, the White House announced that anyone who comes near Trump or Pence will be given the test as a means to limit ‘inadvertent transmission’ of COVID-19.

‘Starting today anyone who is expected to be in close proximity to either of them will be administered a COVID-19 test to evaluate for pre-symptomatic or asymptomatic carriers status to limit inadvertent transmission,’ said deputy White House press secretary Judd Deere in a statement.

The test will be the same one that President Trump, himself, took on Thursday when he was tested a second time for the virus. Both times the president tested negative.

But the new test, which is being touted by the administration, has results back in 15 minutes

Pence also has been tested and was negative. The same for first lady Melania Trump.

The White House has already put some protective measures into play, including social distancing, but it’s unclear how effective those are given the crowded work spaces in the West Wing and rest of the complex. Additionally, staff and members of the media have undergone temperature checks before entering the White House complex.

Both Trump and Pence have limited their travel outside of the White House and vice president’s residence. However both men have had meetings with leaders, including a meeting on Friday with energy executives and members of Congress.
