Trump retweets a meme with bloodied CNN logo

President Trump spread a little Christmas cheer to his supporters by smearing the media – literally – with his Twitter account.

Among his Christmas Eve tweets, the president retweeted a meme that showed an image of Trump on the phone, in the backseat of a car, with the image of a blood spatter on his shoe, labeled ‘CNN.’

This isn’t the first time Trump has retweeted imagery that suggested violence against the cable news network that the president likes to label ‘fake news.’

On Sunday, President Trump retweeted this meme that showed him in the backseat of a car, on the phone, with a blood spatter labeled ‘CNN’ on the sole of his shoe

In his third anti-media tweet of the day, President Trump again railed against polling coverage suggesting the White House has its own 'insider Polls' with numbers that were 'strong!'

In his third anti-media tweet of the day, President Trump again railed against polling coverage suggesting the White House has its own ‘insider Polls’ with numbers that were ‘strong!’

In August, he retweeted a cartoon that showed the ‘Trump train’ running over a man with a CNN logo as his head.

That tweet didn’t sit well as it came on the heels of the death of 32-year-old Heather Heyer, who was mowed down by an alleged white supremacist in Charlottesville in the aftermath of a rally attended by white supremacists, KKK members and neo-Nazis, which attracted protests in the Virginia town.

Trump was criticized for his handling of the racial violence when he tried to say there were ‘some very fine people on both sides.’

A month before he had retweeted imagery of himself wrestling the CNN logo.

On Sunday, as he celebrates the Christmas holiday at his Palm Beach, Florida, club, Mar-a-Lago, Trump was on an anti-media roll.

After retweeting the meme, which was titled ‘WINNING,’ Trump sent out two other tweets.

‘The Fake News refuses to talk about how Big and how Strong our BASE is,’ Trump complained.

‘They show Fake Polls just like they report Fake News,’ he continued, seemingly concerned about new stories reporting on his historically low poll numbers.

‘Despite only negative reporting, we are doing well – nobody is going to beat us,’ he said in his first tweet. ‘MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!’

Trump’s second tweet also seemed to be in response to stories articulating low public support.

‘The Tax Cut/Reform Bill, including Massive Alaska Drilling and the Repeal of the highly unpopular Individual Mandate, brought it all together as to what an incredible year we had,’ Trump said.

‘Don’t let the Fake News convince you otherwise…and our insider Polls are strong!’ he added, suggesting the White House is doing polling of its own.

Every poll that came out this week had Trump’s disapproval in double-digits over the percentage of Americans who approved of the job he has done in his first 11 months in office.

President Trump also spent time on Christmas Eve playing golf, participating in a video conference with service members and calling kids to tell them when NORAD has estimated Santa Claus’ arrival.
