Donald Trump reposted a video of vloggers Diamond and Silk on Monday where they accused Democrats of being the party of white supremacy after several called the president a ‘racist.’
The African-American duo, whose real names are Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, said they are tired of people linking Trump to white supremacy, especially following two mass shootings this month.
‘You know we hear these people calling our president ‘white supremacy.’ But guess what? They represent the party that created white supremacy right here in the United States,’ Hardaway, known as Diamond, told Fox Business Network’s Lou Dobbs on Friday night.
The duo of outspoken Trump supporters were responding to those who have called the president a ‘white nationalist’ and claimed he facilitated an environment that emboldened people to carry out violent acts.

After golfing, he reposted a video of African-American vloggers Diamond and Silk expressing that Democrats were the party that contributed to racial issues in America

Trump retweeted the video, where they defended the president as Democrats called him a ‘racist ‘ and a ‘white nationalist’ in the wake of two mass shootings – one of which appears to motivated by a hatred of illegal immigrants
Democrats, including many 2020 presidential candidates, say the shooter in El Paso, Texas, who killed 22 people after opening fire at a Walmart, used the same sort of rhetoric as Trump when speaking about illegal immigration.
Diamond said she doesn’t respect Democrats because they continue to ‘demean and demonize the President of the United States’
Silk – or Rochelle Richardson – said she’s tired of white people playing the race card, which echoed some language Trump used when hitting back at Democrats for claiming he was a racist for calling Baltimore a ‘disgusting’ and ‘rodent infested’ city last month.
‘What’s really funny is I see a lot more white people playing the race card,’ she said.
‘Playing the race card more than black people,’ she continued. ‘You know, as a black woman I know what racism do look like. But it’s really funny to me to see another white man call another white man a racist when they never experienced racism. That’s disgusting to me.’
He also retweeted a post from them made in July where they thanked him for being their voice as president. ‘Two great and loyal friends!’ Trump tweeted
They also said they were tired of white people playing the race card. ‘What’s really funny is I see a lot more white people playing the race card… more than black people,’ Silk (right) said. ‘It’s really funny to me to see another white man call another white man a racist when they never experienced racism. Diamond and Silk, whose real names are Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, were Democrats until 2015 when Trump announced his candidacy. They often defend him in their online videos or by appearing on Fox News and Fox Business
Former Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg – all of whom are running for president – and several other white politicians called Trump a racist in the past few months.
Diamond claims Democrats are the problem, specifically pointing to former Vice President Joe Biden, who is now running for president.
‘And who they need to look at is Joe Biden,’ Diamond continued. ‘Because he’s the one who said he reached across the aisle to work with segregationist – he didn’t have to reach far. It’s not going to be long before he tells us how he used to sit down with KKK members as well.’
Biden faced backlash earlier this summer after he touted his relationship with former lawmakers who were known segregationists. He also was left stunned on the Miami stage during the first Democratic debates with Kamala Harris confronted him about his past anti-bussing stance during his time as a senator.

He made another gaffe regarding race when he told a room full of Hispanic and Asian voters at an event in Iowa on Thursday that ‘poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.’
During the event, Biden meant to say ‘wealthy kids,’ which he corrected as soon as he said ‘white kids,’ and his campaign said he misspoke.
On Monday, while visiting his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, Trump also tweeted, ‘Two great and loyal friends!’ in response to a July tweet from Diamond and Silk.
‘We want to say Thank you for being the best President ever,’ the volggers posted to their Twitter account with a picture of them hugging Trump. ‘Thank you for being our voice and Thank you for paving the way for all Americans to have an opportunity at obtaining the American Dream. We Love you so much more. God Bless You.’
