Trump’s former caddy moves into Hope Hicks’ old office

The White House director of social media and President Trump’s former caddy has taken up residence in Hope Hicks’ old, minuscule office.

Dan Scavino moved into the tiny office soon after Hicks bid adieu to the White House and her job as communication director last Thursday.

Scavino, who is now the only staffer from the Trump campaign left in the White House, is widely tipped to step into Hicks’ shoes as the President’s confidant and top aide.

The 42-year-old’s new desk puts him within feet of Trump and the Oval Office.

Prior to Hicks, Trump’s longtime bodyguard Keith Schiller used to work from the small space until he resigned from the White House last September.

Trump and Scavino speak regularly each day and he is often called into the Oval Office at short notice.

Scavino is often referred to as Trump’s ‘mini me’ by other aides, sources told CNN.

He is regularly spotted taking photos or videos of Trump to post on the White House’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

He is a longtime Trump confidant who met the now-president when he was a caddie and bag room attendant at the now-Trump National Golf Club in 1990.

Scavino eventually became the executive vice president and general manager at the golf club.

He also served as the director of social media for the real estate mogul’s presidential campaign and his transition team.

Making several appearances by Trump’s side on the campaign trail, Scavino even introduced the then-candidate at a campaign stop in Poughkeepsie.

Sources have said Scavino has dedicated his adult life to Trump.

‘It’s beyond loyalty,’ one source told CNN.

Scavino’s wife Jennifer filed for divorce back in January after 18 years of marriage and two children.

There is no word yet on who will step into Hicks’ role as communications director.
