Trump’s White House in Australia

A multi-million dollar mansion is on the market in Melbourne’s affluent suburb of Toorak and its not turning heads because of its exorbitant price but rather its uncanny resemblance to the White House.

The 1158 square metre block is expected to be sold for $9-9.9 million which is a bargain compared to Trump’s White House valued at $400 million.

While the homeowner never intended his house to resemble the U.S. president’s official residence, he wanted it to be a ‘landmark’, said real estate agent Oliver Booth.

Victoria’s White House is a three-storey mansion fitted with personal lifts, a six-car garage, indoor lap pool, billiards room and a flood-lit tennis court.

The five-bedroom five-bathroom mansion is relatively new being built in the early 2000s.

While 53 St Georges Road was first sold at $785,000 in 1981 and $1.42 million in 1999, it is now expected to be going for $9-9.9 million – almost seven times its last recorded price.
