Turia Pitt poses in a bikini before covering up in a shirt

She’s known for her love of the beach, having hit the surf mere weeks after welcoming her first child in December.

But burns survivor Turia Pitt, 30, has revealed that living an active lifestyle isn’t always easy for someone with sensitive skin.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the new mother shared a photo of herself modelling a one-shouldered black swimsuit alongside another of her posing in a white shirt, hat and sunglasses.

Poking fun at herself: Burns survivor Turia Pitt, 30, has revealed that living an active lifestyle isn’t always easy for someone with sensitive skin

‘How I imagine I look at the beach vs reality,’ she quipped in the caption.

Proceeding to spruik a skincare brand, Turia added: ‘So hot right now with my @avene_au. #aveneau #sunsitive#TPpartner.’

In 2011, the motivational speaker suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body in a horrific bush fire during an ultramarathon in Kimberley, WA.

Now, seven years later, Turia is the proud mother of baby Hakavai, who she welcomed with long-term partner Michael Hoskin last year.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia in October, she revealed she was determined to raise her son with the same relaxed, laid-back lifestyle she had growing up on the NSW South Coast.

‘[I] can’t wait to do all the stuff I enjoy with him – going for a surf or a run – it’s going to be so cool,’ she said.

Turia added: ‘We [Michael and I] both love being outside and keeping active. We’ll be down at the beach with him all the time.’

She also spoke fondly of Michael, who has been a devoted partner throughout her pregnancy and painful rehabilitation after suffering burns.

‘Nothing has been difficult. He’s been awesome as usual – really supportive and he’s frothing. He can’t wait,’ Turia gushed at the time.
