TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé icon Big Ed is set to release his own wine in 600 Walmart locations across the US. After starring on the fourth season he quickly rose to fame, becoming the number one trending meme in the world for four weeks in 166 countries. As a multifaceted professional, Ed has explored multiple businesses ranging from interior design to real estate. Now, he has set his sights on the wine industry, launching Big Ed Malbec.

After a journey to Mendoza, Argentina, where he personally sampled various Malbecs to perfect the final blend, The Big Ed Malbec is ready to grace Walmart shelves. Ed, a Malbec enthusiast for two decades, decided he wanted to craft his own. Leveraging his connections in San Diego's importations business, he found a winery in Mendoza, Argentina. While Malbec originated in France, it found a new home in South America when French botanist Michel Pouget introduced the vines in the 1850s. The region's unique climate, characterized by dry days, abundant sunshine, and cool nights, provides ideal conditions for cultivating Malbec grapes, allowing them to reach their full potential.

After an extensive wine trialing process, including pairing each bottle with a main dish and dessert, he landed on a final product. This Malbec has a well-balanced profile, described as 'not to sweet and not too dry.' While the wine is typically suited to any poultry dish, Ed suggests accompanying it with fillet mignon, his personal favorite.

The wine, priced at $14.95, is set to hit Walmart's shelves in Arkansas, California and Texas.  Recognizing the convenience of online shopping, Ed is working to make the wine available on Amazon for nationwide delivery. With an eye towards international expansion, the TV icon plans to introduce his product to markets in England and Australia in the future.

In an overly competitive market, it was important for Ed to create a label that stood out. Leveraging his design experience, he spent three and a half months carefully creating a logo that aligned with his vision and personal branding.

The TV star is in conversations with a couple of restaurants in Arkansas where he will be doing wine tastings and events there. Having being a number one fan of Malbec himself, some 90 day Fiancé episodes made sure to feature a bottle or glass of Malbec that Ed was drinking. Now with his very own this September, The Big Ed Malbec is set to be released in one of America's biggest supermarket chains, so keep your eyes peeled and wine glasses ready.
