This is the hilarious moment a professional cyclist accidentally kisses a journalist on the lips after she leaned in for a peck on the cheek.
Belgian broadcaster Linde Merckpoel had just wrapped up a TV interview with competitive rider Stijn Steels ahead of the Tour of Flanders race last Sunday.
But what she thought would be a friendly kiss on the cheek escalated into a surprise smooch when Steels, 29, turned his head to accidentally plant a smacker on 34-year-old Merckpoel’s mouth.

TV presenter Merckpoel had just finished interviewing professional cyclist Steels in Belgium when the couple accidentally kissed on the lips
The video shows the two of them sitting on a podium in front of a Tour of Flanders backboard emblazoned with sponsor logos.
Steels, who is then moments away from mounting his bike to begin the 103rd edition of the famous event, is dressed from head-to-toe in Lycra.
And after answering the journalist’s final question, he turns to look in the opposite direction.
However, Merkpoel has stretched her hand around Steel’s shoulders and is moving in for a customary farewell kiss on the side of his face.
As she leans in to peck the cyclist, he suddenly rotates his head and the pair lock lips for a split second before both quickly pulling back.
But they both see the funny side and burst into fits of laughter, moments before Steels is due to mount his bike for Team Roompot-Charles ahead of the 103rd Tour of Flanders

But their surprise soon turns into amusement and they break into fits of laughter over their unintentional snog.
Merckpoel later commented on the video: ‘Sorry baby. I can explain.’
And Steels jokingly replied by posting a list of things the pair could do together in the future as a couple such as presenting a TV show along with the comment: ‘Let’s be serious. What would you like and what would we do with the earnings?’
Team Roompot-Charles cyclist Steels finished in 110th position in the Tour of Flanders which was won by Italian rider Alberto Bettiol.
The Tour of Flanders is a yearly race which is part of the UCI World Tour and had its 100th edition in 2016.
