Four-year-old twin girls have become online stars after dressing up as presidential candidates Donald Trump and Joe Biden for Halloween — and their political costumes were four years in the making.

Adrea Garza, 36, from Edmond, Oklahoma, told Good Morning America that her daughters Koti and Haven were born right before the 2016 election, and she knew she wanted to dress them up as candidates in the future.

The mom unveiled the costumes on TikTok to the delight of her followers, and the clip has been viewed more than 2.9 million times.

‘Every year I dress my twin girls in some ridiculous Halloween costume and this year is no different,’ she said in the video, sharing footage of their little navy suits laying side by side.

The outfits were inspired by Trump and Biden’s looks at the first debate, where the Republican incumbent wore a red and navy striped tie and the Democratic hopeful sported one with white and navy stripes.

Adrea also included the container of orange face paint she used to color Koti’s face for her Trump costume and the face mask, white spray-on hair color, and aviators she purchased to transform Haven into Biden.

While the girls may not be fully aware of who the candidates are and why they are important, their mom said they recognized them from television.

‘Koti was Donald Trump. She has the face and lips and thumbs down,’ Adrea told GMA. ‘I don’t even know where she picked it up, [maybe] from TV.’

‘Haven is Biden. Her favorite part of the costume is her white hair,’ she added. ‘She thought that was super cool.’

The viral TikTok video ended with the twins standing by their characters’ respective political signs, with Koti flashing a very Trump-esque expression while giving a thumbs up.

Many people were amused by the costumes regardless of their political leanings, but some were concerned that one twin was going to end up with more candy than the other.

Adrea made it clear in the comments that the girls wouldn’t be wearing the costumes when they go trick-or-treating on Halloween.

There were also some critics who thought Koti and Haven should be ‘dressed as princesses,’ not polarizing political candidates, but the mom disagreed.

‘There’s nothing wrong with dressing as a princess. My girls do it all the time,’ she said. ‘But there’s nothing wrong with dressing as the president of the United ‘States either.’
