Two bodies are found inside home in Rye, Victoria with entire street taped off

A man and a woman have been shot dead in a house in the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

Police arrived the house on Parson St, Rye shortly after 4am on Monday.

They found a man and a woman inside who had both been shot. They tried to resuscitate them with the help of paramedics.

Sadly, they died at the scene. 

Police are now looking for a number of people believed to have been inside the house.

In particular, a male that was seen running from the house by neighbours. 

The group reportedly knew each other. 

Officers have cordoned off the street, with several police vehicles in the area.
