Two children have been hit by a car on a Sydney highway

  • A 10-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy were injured in a car crash Thursday
  • A Careflight helicopter responded to the accident, which occurred after 11 am 
  • The girl sustained an injury to her head while the boy received grazes to his face 

Two children have been injured after they were hit by a taxi on the Pacific Highway near Crows Nest on Sydney’s north shore.

A 10-year-old girl sustained a head injury while an 8-year-old boy received grazes to his face. 

Emergency services are on the scene and a Careflight helicopter is on it’s way. 

The highway is closed to northbound traffic from Hazelbank Rocklands Road, Nine News reports. 

The crash scene is within metres of North Sydney Girls High School as well as Cammeraygal High School.
