Two cops injured in gunfight at BMW dealership

  • Police were called to a BMW in Willoughby Hills, Ohio on Thursday for an irate customer
  • When they got the dealership, the suspect opened fire on two cops 
  • The cops returned fire and all three were taken to the hospital 
  • Police Chief Christopher Collins say all are in stable condition 
  • Employees at the dealership said the customer, a white male, had an issue with his bill and seemed to be under the influence

Two cops were rushed to the hospital after being shot by a customer at a BMW dealership in Ohio. 

Employees at the dealership in Willoughby Hills called police for a ‘customer problem Thursday afternoon.

When officers arrived at the scene, the customer pulled out a handgun and began firing at the officers – who returned fire.

All three were taken to the hospital, where they are in stable condition. 

At a press conference, the city’s police chief Christopher Collins said that both officers were wearing bulletproof vests. 

Authorities have not named the suspect, other than to say he is a white male. 

It’s unclear what exactly prompted the gunfight, but employees said that the shooter had an issue with his bill and appeared to be under the influence. 

They say he had never visited the dealership before Thursday.
