Two men aged in their 20s are fighting for life after being gunned down in a truck outside a McDonald’s

  • Two men gunned down outside fast-food restaurant about 12.30am Wednesday
  • The men were sitting in a car in Merrylands, 25km west of Sydney when targeted 
  • A third man approached the vehicle and fired several shots, hitting both men
  • The men were taken to hospital and the attacker was last seen fleeing on foot  

Two men aged in their 20s have been gunned down outside a fast-food restaurant overnight. 

The men were sitting in a parked car in Merrylands, 25km west of Sydney, about 12.30am on Wednesday when a third man approached and opened fire. 

The victims attempted to drive off but did not make it far before they required urgent medical treatment. 

One of the victims is pictured with paramedics before he was taken to hospital following the shooting in Merrylands 

Paramedics arrived and treated them at the scene before taking them to hospital, where both remain in a stable condition.

The shooter, who was described as wearing a black hooded jacket, fled the scene and was last seen running through Granville Park. 

The gunman is still on the run.
