A cyclist who was kicked over by naked men in broad daylight has revealed how he thought the perpetrators could have been ‘terrorists’.

Two naked men were caught on video attacking a cyclist in broad daylight in a busy London street after strolling brazenly out of an underground station.

In a bizarre series of events, the men were seen leaving Elephant & Castle tube station at around 2.30pm on Thursday – one wearing underpants and the other in the nude.

They cross at the traffic lights before the one in his pants takes a running jump at a cyclist and knocks them off.

Another witness reported also seeing the men walking towards Elephant and Castle roundabout where the were arrested by the police.

The Metropolitan Police have yet to respond to a request for details on the incident.

It is not clear if drugs, an initiation ritual, a prank or some ort of art project is behind the incident.

The cyclist who was kicked over in the clip, who asked not to be named, told MailOnline he had been going to a client’s house at the time.

He said: ‘I thought it was more of a shove, I didn’t realise they took a run up and took a kick.

‘I went down and I got back up and then fell over again and actually the traffic all the traffic went by and were like oh my god what are they terrorists or something? It was all very strange how it happened.’

He added: ‘When I went to the other side of the road to speak to the guy who had also been beaten up literally police came from every single direction, even unmarked cars.’

Guy Strafford-Taylor, who recorded the clip, can be heard letting out a slight laugh in shock at what he had just witnessed.

Without even checking if the cyclist is ok, the pair continued to walk through the street.

Mr Strafford-Taylor said he had begun filming the pair after he noticed they were naked and they were ‘shouting and causing a scene’.

He said: ‘I saw them walking down the road and now both were naked.

‘They were pushing people and rushing towards people in the bus stops.

‘I tried to film again and they rushed towards my car so I bolted. The whole thing was quite bizarre.’

Other people on Twitter explained they had also witnessed the naked men wandering in the street.

One woman, who shared a picture of the pair, claimed they had been arrested further up the road.

MailOnline has contacted Met Police for comment.

It is not known whether the men were pulling the stunt because they had lost a bet or were involved in an initiation stunt.

Other social media users suggested that drug taking may have been a factor.

The naked duo could have be arrested by the police for indecent exposure under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Indecent exposure takes place when a person displays a part of themselves in a public place which is considered offensive or morally unacceptable.

While it is not an offence to be naked in public in England and Wales, it can become one if it can be proved the exposure was done to cause alarm or distress.

Typically, a person will not be prosecuted if their exposure was not for the purpose of sexual gratification or to cause alarm or distress.
