Two people are injured after a crane crashes into a Melbourne house – causing the truck it was mounted on to flip into the air

  • A crane has collapsed into a house in Melbourne ‘s inner west, injuring two
  • Paramedics are assessing two people at the scene in Yarraville 
  • Police, along with about 20 fire fighters, are at the scene on Schild Street

A crane has collapsed into a house in Melbourne’s inner west, injuring two people.  

It fell on the unoccupied house on Wednesday afternoon, causing major structural damage.

Two men working on the construction site received minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

The pair are stable, an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said.

Police were called to the Schild Street site, where a house was being re-located, just before 1pm.

Police, along with about 20 fire fighters, are at the scene.

An MFB heavy rescue appliance, along with specialist search and rescue operators, are helping and Worksafe is investigating.
