Two people killed in M4 crash between car and lorry

Two people have been killed after a lorry and a car crashed on the M4.

The motorway has been closed while emergency services investigate the cause of the incident which caused traffic chaos this morning.

Police were called at around 5am and found a Nissan Qashqai and a lorry had been involved in a collision.

The motorway was closed while crash scene investigators cleared the road of debris. Highways England said the road will be closed until 4.30pm

Two people were killed in the incident, which happened at junction 17 of the M4 at Leigh Delamere in Wiltshire.  

Highways England has said the M4 westbound carriage between J17 and J18 will be closed until at least 4.30pm.
