Typically-preened Simon Cowell, 58, appears tired

Simon Cowell is widely deemed one of the hardest working men in showbiz.

Yet work seemed to be catching up on The X Factor mogul as he appeared tired and slightly dishevelled while arriving for America’s Got Talent auditions in Pasadena on Wednesday – yet still found time to greet his adoring fans.

The 58-year-old music boss was sporting his typical uniform of long-line jeans, Cuban-style shoes and a form-fitting white T-shirt while clutching his favoured menthol cigarettes and wire-framed glasses.

Tough: Simon Cowell appeared tired and slightly dishevelled while arriving for America’s Got Talent auditions in Pasadena on Wednesday – yet still found time to greet his adoring fans

Last month, it was confirmed that Simon alongside his co-judges Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel would return to the show alongside host, Tyra Banks before things kick off in May – with filming kicking off in recent weeks.

While he is used to throwing himself wholeheartedly into work, the star appeared slightly exhausted during his outing before kicking off filming once more.

Showing his good grace, Simon still took time to hug and kiss a fan while waving at others before preparing to hit the panel for the upcoming series.

His departure from his usual slick look comes after he previously discussed his lengthy grooming routine and the secrets behind his good looks.

Is that you Mr Cowell? Simon did not seem himself ahead of the auditions (left, Wednesday), compared to his usual dashing looks (pictured right, in August last year)

He revealed how he maintains his muscular figure – by doing 500 push ups a day, while he also admitted he is ‘obsessed’ with cleanliness and has three baths a day.

Talking about how he starts his day, Cowell said: ‘I’ll do 500 push ups in a day religiously, and if I can I like to have a workout. Then I have a steam and a bath but I always have breakfast in bed…

‘I’m obsessed with cleanliness for myself, so I will take a bath three times a day, sometimes a steam twice a day in addition to that. And the same thing in the house.

In 2015, he further discussed his face care as he said: ‘I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago, because everyone on TV has it…

‘I also had a sheep placenta facial once, which was quite out there…

‘Now I have facials, but nothing too extravagant at the moment. Hopefully I look better now.’
