This is the moment Tyrrell Hatton fumed at someone for distracting him during his back-swing, only to realise it came from his fiancée slamming a toilet door.

The 27-year-old Ryder Cup star was attempting to find the green at four-under-par on the 11th hole at the Italian Open before being clearly distracted by a noise, leading him to look over in disgust.

This prompted laughter from commentators and spectators, as it was discovered that not only did the noise come form a toilet door being slammed, but the culprit was Hatton’s fiancée Emily Braisher!

In the video uploaded by The European Tour, Hatton could be seen looking over in anger at who made the noise, before surprisingly chuckling.

It is not often golfers see the funny side when they are forced to stop, but the chuckle had come from the realisation it was Braisher walking away from the toilet, having made the noise by slamming shut the door.

The Englishman shouted ‘Is that you? What you doing?’ before turning round and telling onlookers, ‘That’s my fiancée.’

Commentators, cameramen and spectators were left in hysterics at this, while Hatton was keen to embarrass his soon-to-be wife, adding ‘You put me off! You should be ashamed!’.

The Englishman shot a three-under-par opening round of 68 and has continued his good form during Friday’s round to push himself even closer to the top of the leaderboard at the Italian Open.

Unheralded Finn Tapio Pulkkanen finished the first round on top, after putting superbly to score a bogey-free seven-under-par 64 at Olgiata Golf Club.
