Conor McGregor is refusing to allow his broken leg to dampen his spirits as the Irish superstar was pictured getting a gym session in as he recovers from his freak injury.
The former two-weight world champion, 33, had vowed to send Dustin Poirier out of the Octagon a stretcher ahead of their grudge UFC 264 bout – the third time the lightweight rivals have met.
However, McGregor required assistance leaving the Octagon after suffering a brutal leg break in the dying seconds of the first round having put all of his weight on his off-balance left leg.

The Notorious is expected to be sidelined for at least a year following the serious injury, but he has not let circumstances get in the way of his training, releasing a serious of photos from a gym session.
The photos showed McGregor in his small private gym, working on pull-ups while using his healthy right leg on the leg extension machine.
The images – posted to his 8.8million followers on Twitter and 41,6m Instagram followers – were accompanied by the caption: ‘There are no limits to what we can overcome. Find the way!’

McGregor has been unwinding in California following his chastening defeat earlier this month. This latest loss is the Irishman’s third from four UFC fights, and leaves him staring into the abyss with regards to his title hopes.
The 33-year-old took his family to a Justin Bieber concert this week, with the pair striking up an unlikely friendship.
The UFC star shared snaps from his VIP seats as he settled in for the show alongside his wife Dee Devlin, 33, and their children Conor Jack Jr, four, Croia, two, and Rían, two months.

The Irish brawler and Canadian singer were in full relaxation mode as they drank whisky and lounged at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Taking to Instagram, the Baby hitmaker captioned the snap with, ‘Breakfast of champions. @thenotoriousmma @properwhiskey “its about how you get back up [sic].”‘
