UFC fighters Mike Perry and Raulian Paiva suffered horrific facial injuries on a bloody night of MMA action in Uruguay.

Perry’s relentless three round brawl with Vicente Luque saw him lose on points after he suffered one of the worst broken noses in MMA history.

Both fighters were quick to trade heavy blows but it was a flying knee kick from Luque that inflicted serious damage to Perry as his nose was shunted across his face.

Perry protested his points defeat but would surely have few complaints having seen the severity of his injury back in his dressing room.

He wasn’t the only fighter on the receiving end of a brutal knee kick, as Paiva was sent sprawling across the canvas in his bout with Rogerio Bontorin.

The force of the impact opened up a huge gash on Paiva’s eyebrow, which forced the ringside doctor to halt the fight and then end the contest.

Paiva had been in complete control of the contest and had almost forced a stoppage after opening a nasty looking cut on Bontorin’s face, but the referee allowed the fight to continue.

Perhaps spurred on by the knowledge of his injury, Bontorin responded with an incredible flying kick to turn the fight on its head and leave Paiva needing medical attention.
