The former police officer and husband of UFC flyweight Andrea Lee, who she controversially defended for sporting Nazi tattoos, has been accused of assaulting his wife in their Louisiana home.
Roommate and fellow MMA fighter Andy Nguyen stated in a police report that Donny Aaron attacked the 29-year-old at their Shreveport, Louisiana, home on August 4.
Nguyen – who is also trained by Aaron – shared that she heard the couple fighting while watching UFC 227 after she had gone to bed, the police report obtained by MyMMANews.com reports.
‘So I opened my door and she (Andrea) runs into her daughter’s room. Donny is trying to burn a cigarette on her arm and her body,’ Nguyen explained.

‘She’s yelling to stop trying to burn her. Donny’s dad is the only one helping me. His dad is like 70 or 80 years old.
‘There’s another guy named Kendrick there who is this big strong guy, who wouldn’t get out of his room to help me. He put on his headphones and was like ‘this happens all the time.’ He just tuned it out.’
Early into the next morning, the fighter shared that she could still hear Aaron screaming and that she made her presence known that she was awake because ‘usually, he does crazy stuff behind closed doors.’
Nguyen stated that she went into the kitchen and when she heard things get quiet, she figured the arguing had subsided.
She added: ‘Then all of a sudden I heard a grunt and the dog was in the kennel and started barking. I can hear her saying “stop, stop.” I opened up the door and was like “Donny, leave her alone.”

Aaron allegedly choked his wife and tried to burn her with cigarettes, but the fighter and Nguyen was able to prevent anything else happening
‘He looked like he was lost. He hadn’t slept in two days. He was drinking for two f*****g days straight. I don’t know what he is on. I’m backing up as he is coming towards me. Andrea was buttoning up her shorts and she was barefoot and ran out the back door.’
According to Nguyen’s report, Aaron had accused Lee of cheating on him but their roommate asserted that that was not the case.
Nguyen changed into gym close, prepared to step in if need be.
‘Donny goes back in the house and he’s like “I did it again, I did it again.” I was like “what did you do? Did you kill her?” because he has killed someone before,’ she said.
Driving to a local gas station, Nguyen alerted the police about the commotion and met Lee at a hotel where they were then interviewed by authorities.

The fighter explained that Aaron had tried to choke Lee, but she defended herself well. She also shared that the abuse had allegedly been ongoing. Police reportedly took photos of Lee’s neck
She claims that when police arrived at the trio’s home, Donny ditched the scene with his father.
‘It’s f****d up because Donny used to be a cop,’ Nguyen continued. ‘He’s f****d up in the head. He was making her do things to try and fake evidence that she was cheating. He was trying to get her to pull her pants off and take pictures to send to a guy so it looked like she sent it. He’s f****d up in the head.
‘They had been arguing all week. She couldn’t train because he kept her home. He wouldn’t let her leave. I didn’t call the cops until it got physical and I couldn’t do nothing anymore.

Nguyen said: ‘I just wasn’t there. He was my coach and my friend. This was the first time this was in presence and I was not going to let this fly.

While in prison almost 20 years ago, he got Nazi tattoos, which was the subject of June controversy after Lee posted a photo of the couple on her Instagram.
When defending her husband at the time, Lee claimed that neither of them could be racist because they lived with an Asian – Nguyen – and a black guy. She then called critics ‘sensitive a*s mofos’.

Aaron’s apology after the picture was posted

Lee had claimed that Aaron covered up the tattoos, but Nguyen asserted that that was not the case
Both Aaron and Lee would later apologized for their statements and for the images.
Lee had claimed that Aaron covered up the tattoos, but Nguyen’s statement offers a different story.
‘The UFC and many other people offered Donny FREE tattoo cover up and he still never did it,’ Nguyen asserted.
‘You see online, the small swastika on his elbow. I have a bigger picture of a bigger tattoo on the shoulder that nobody knows about. All he had to do was cover the little one but he didn’t.’
Aaron has been charged with false imprisonment and domestic abuse and battery but is still on the run.
