Ukrainian military jet makes very low pass just FEET above ground as fearless man lies down to film

This is the astonishing moment that a military fighter jet flies just feet above a man’s head and narrowly misses him.

The plane, thought to be a Ukrainian Su-24M Fencer Bomber, comes out of nowhere to perilously skim over the top of the person recording.

Another man can also be seen ducking and covering his ears with his hands to protect against the blasting noise.

The jet, thought to be a Su-24M, zooms past the other grounded planes seen in the video

The military jet (right and in the distance left) appears out of nowhere and quickly heads down the runway, straight towards the man whose foot can just be seen on the floor (left)

It is thought that the impressive video was recorded at an airbase in Ukraine, probably in ‘Staro’, where the Fencers of the 7th Tactical Aviation Brigade are based, reports The Aviationist.

The airbase is around 2.5miles (4kilometres) east of Starokostiantyniv in western Ukraine.

The plane quickly appears from the clouds and skims across the sky, only just avoiding the people on the runway.

The men appear to be wearing military style clothing, with the man recording in camouflage patterned trousers and the other who is stood up wearing a long black coat.

The man is thrown back by the force of the plane flying so close to him

Another man (left) ducks and covers his ears as the jet flies over, narrowly missing his head. The other man who is filming the nerve-wracking moment is knocked back (right) by the thrust of the plane

At the start of the clip the man appears to be laying down on a runway, as if he is waiting for the jet to come in, and can be heard speaking.

Several other planes can also be see on the left hand side of the video. Staro airbase has stands for over 35 large aircraft and about 30 small fighters.

The Su-24M is a twin-engined, two-seater plane that was designed to perform low-level missile strike missions.

It was developed in the Soviet Union and is known by its NATO reporting name, Fencer.

The aircraft can carry up to three gun pods with 23mm Gsh-6-23 guns that have a rate of fire of 9,000 rounds a minute reports airforce-tecnology.
