‘Ultra high net worth’ European buys private island off Irish coast

An ‘ultra-high-net-worth’ European buyer has purchased a luxurious 157-acre island off the coast of Ireland after months of negotiations during coronavirus lockdown.

Amazing aerial images show the lush greenery of the large island situated in Roaring Water Bay, County Cork, which has been sold for an undisclosed price to an anonymous ultra-high-net-worth European buyer.

In February 2020, the selling agents issued an asking price of £4.9million for Horse Island, just as Covid-19 swept its way across Europe, forcing the public to stay inside due to lockdown measures.

The agents recorded interest from all corners of the globe, particularly the USA, Asia, continental Europe and the United Kingdom, resulting in two parties battling over ownership of the property.

Horse Island provides for a unique private retreat second to none and offers the perceptive buyer utter tranquility and privacy in the fast paced modern world. The island also provides amazing views out onto the Atlantic over Roaring Water Bay
