Barcelona manager Quique Setien does not fear he will lose his job if his side were to be dumped out by Napoli in the Champions League.

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is being lined up to take over at Barcelona if the club decide to replace Setien this summer.

Pochettino was sounded out for the Barca job in January when president Josep Bartomeu sacked Ernesto Valverde.

In the end it was Setien who got the job but despite taking over when Barcelona were top he failed to win LaLiga or the Copa Del Rey and if he does not deliver the Champions League he will be replaced.

But the former Real Betis coach is not concerned about his future.

‘The reality is that it has never crossed my mind that this is my last game,’ he told reporters.

‘We have prepared the game thoroughly. We are going to face everything to Portugal with the same energy.’

‘We have improved many things. We have lacked continuity in doing those things that we do well.

‘This is a process that is always there. You do not always face the same rivals, everything varies. We can see in some circumstances that sometimes things are not done well.

‘The identity has not been lost. We have all heard about the Barca DNA and the club’s philosophy, another thing is the nuances of each coach.

‘Since we arrived we have tried to recover certain things that we understand that Barca represents. We have achieved many things. We are happy about some aspects of the game, other aspects are damaging us. We keep trying to improve every day.’

The Catalan giants face the Italian side at the Nou Camp with the aggregate score level at 1-1 in the last-16 Champions League tie.
