Unlicensed python, cash and methamphetamines seized by police during a property raid

  • NSW officers raided a home in Raymond Terrace, north of Newcastle, at 4.30am
  • Police said they seized a number of items that are now being examined 
  • Officers said they also found money, a replica gun and an extendable baton

An investigation is underway after police seized 17 mobile phones, methamphetamine, cannabis and a python at a home on Wednesday.

NSW officers with the Port Stephens/Hunter Police District raided the home in Raymond Terrace, north of Newcastle, at 4.30am.

As well as the unlicensed reptile, officers said they found a sum of cash, a replica gun, what is believed to be marijuana seeds and an extendable baton. 

The items will not undergo forensic examination, police said.
