Plenty of floors to clean! Vacuum mogul James Dyson drops $74million on six-bedroom Manhattan penthouse
- The 71-year-old British billionaire’s new pad is a whopping 9,138 square feet
- It’s located on the 54th floor of 520 Park Avenue, close to Dyson’s flagship store
- Each of the 35 units in the limestone tower has 11-foot ceilings, white oak floors and, of course, Dyson appliances
- Neighbors include ex-Barclay’s CEO Bob Diamond and UFC chief Frank Fertitta
Vacuum mogul James Dyson has bought himself an early Christmas present in the form of a stately Manhattan penthouse with a cool $73.8million price tag.
The 71-year-old British billionaire’s new 9,138-square-foot pad is located on the 54th floor of one of the city’s most coveted buildings, 520 Park Avenue, not far from Dyson’s flagship store.
It boasts six bedrooms with a 279-square-foot balcony and panoramic views of Central Park.

Dyson, a 71-year-old British inventor who pioneered vacuum technology, is worth $5.2million
Dyson’s new pad is one of 35 residences in the limestone tower located at East 60th Street, each unit decked out with state-of-the-art kitchens, 11-foot ceilings, white oak floors and, of course, Dyson appliances.
The building comes with a gym and a rooftop pool.
The inventor – who is worth an estimated $5.2billion – will soon be neighbors with Bob Diamond, ex-CEO of Barclays, UFC billionaire Frank Fertitta and publicist Ronn Torossian.
A 24th-floor unit recently sold for a slightly less exuberant $24million along with a 30th-floor unit that went for $25.8million.
‘It doesn’t get any better,’ developer Arthur Zeckendorf told the New York Post. ‘We have more than exceeded our expectations.’
