Vanessa Bryant praises a tattoo honoring Kobe and Gigi Bryant

Vanessa Bryant praises an intricate and large tattoo honoring Kobe and Gigi Bryant… after petitioning to amend the late basketball star’s will to include their 9-month old daughter

Fans are still finding ways to honor Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi, nearly two months after their tragic deaths.

Even Vanessa Bryant was blown away by some new ink remembering the two, done by celebrity tattoo artist Steve Butcher.

The wife of the late basketball star took to Instagram late Thursday night to share the tattoo after coming across it and she praised it for honoring both Kobe and Gigi.

‘Just came across this. So amazing,’ Vanessa, 39, wrote. ‘What a BEAUTIFUL tribute to my Gigi and Kobe.’

She went on to say ‘Kobe would never want to outshine our baby girl. Thank you for honoring them together.’

Tagging the person you commissioned the tattoo and Butcher, the artist, she said ‘This is really beautiful.’

The large body art, done on the majority of someone’s shin, the piece seems to be a near-exact replica of selfie Kobe, 41, and Gigi, 13, last September during a trip to Disneyland.

In great detail, the tattoo showed the selfie of the father and daughter duo cuddled up, with Gigi in a denim jacket and Minnie Mouse ears with a bow as she wrapped her arms around Kobe’s neck.

Butterflies flying away from the two were added in the tattoo on top of the colorful backdrop.

Below the portrait were two chairs with flowers, one with Gigi’s number 2 Mamba Academy jersey and the other with Kobe’s number 24 Lakers jersey.

The scene was from the first Lakers home game after the passing of Kobe and Gigi, along with seven others, on January 26. Behind the chairs honoring Kobe and Gigi, as in real life, was a sea of chairs covered with number 24 T-shirts.

Along with Gigi, Vanessa and Kobe shared three other daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, aged three, and Capri, nine-months.

Earlier this week Vanessa petitioned the court to have Capri added as a beneficiary of Kobe’s trust, joining her, Natalia and Bianka.

According to a ‘petition to modify trust’ filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday, Vanessa asked that the trust be amended so that it includes 9-month-old Capri, who was born after the document was last updated.

The documents stated Kobe created the trust to provide for his wife and children in 2003. It has been amended several times, the last in 2017.
