Vegan blasts friends who tricked her into eating chicken nuggets while she was drunk

Vegan woman calls cops on friends who tricked her into eating chicken nuggets while she was drunk before posting video of the incident on Snapchat

  • The self-described vegan hasn’t been identified, but told Reddit users she’s a 24-year-old woman who hasn’t eaten meat since she was three or four years old
  • She said she got ‘white girl wasted’ at a party last week before friends gave her some nuggets they said were  Sunfed brand vegan chicken
  • They posted video of her on Snapchat showing her eating the poultry products after showing the nugget packaging to the camera
  • The victim said she took a screen recording of the video to police and now her former friends are facing charges for food tampering

A group of pranksters may be looking at criminal charges after their self-described vegan friends told police they tricked her into eating real chicken nuggets, according to an anonymous Reddit post.

The anonymous Reddit user says she’s a 24-year-old woman who hasn’t eaten meat since the age of three or four when she found out where it comes from.

She told the social media site’s audience on Tuesday that her now-former friends have been charged with food tampering-related offenses following their poultry-related antics less than a week ago.

She said the trouble started after she and her friends went to party where she consumed a lot of alcohol and got ‘white girl wasted’.

‘My friends thought it would be funny to feed me chicken nuggets as a prank,’ the Reddit user wrote.

She recalled asking her companions if the fried chicken morsels were vegan before consuming them.  Her friends told her the nuggets were Sunfed brand vegan chicken.

‘They tasted off to me but I figured it was just because I was drunk. I was wrong,’ the alleged victim confessed.

The woman said her sister messaged her a day later telling her to check her friend’s Snapchat story, which featured a video of her friends showing the chicken nuggets’ packaging before convincing her to eat them.

Later the pranksters mocked their alleged victim by pretending to be her – after finding out she’d eaten meat.

‘[They were doing] things like fake crying and yelling “the CHICKENS!!!”‘ the user wrote.

But the self-described vegan captured the video using her phones screen recording function before taking it to police.

‘Now 3 of my (ex) friends are facing charges,’ she said.

The anonymous Reddit user did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment Wednesday night.

Her post has received more than 31,500 up or down votes since it was posted.

Many Reddit users praised her for taking action against her so-called friends.

‘Spongebob taught me that pranks are for the enjoyment of the pranksters,’ wrote Reddit user 247Brett. ‘They did it for themselves at the expense of their friend, making it worse by mocking her and posting it on Snapchat.’

Others said the vegan overreacted to a tasteless, but ultimately harmless prank.

‘You’re pressing charges over chicken nuggets,’ wrote Reddit user GroundhogNight. ‘You have a moral stance against meat. That’s fine. But it’s not a life threatening allergy. It’s absolutely a sh*tty thing for them to do. They aren’t friends. They should be ashamed. But pressing charges is just way too much.’
