A veteran has demonstrated how to properly punch an attacker, pick handcuff locks, and escape zip ties while sporting a full set of long acrylic nails in a series of educational videos.

Robin, a former member of the Netherlands Marine Corps (RNLMC) who immigrated to the U.S., has more than 3.8 million followers on his @dutchintheusa TikTok account, where he teaches self-defense tactics.

The safety and escape expert went viral this week after he posted a video of himself rocking long blue nails to show how to effectively punch someone while wearing acrylics — without getting hurt.

Robin previously taught viewers how to roll up their fingers to create a fist before throwing a punch, but he explained in his recent clip that people with long nails can’t safely execute that technique.

‘This doesn’t work, so what you’re going to do is you’re going to either hit with your palm like that — that still works — or with the [side of your fist],’ he said, demonstrating both punches.

‘Still works and it doesn’t hurt you.’

The video has been viewed 12.6 million times and has received more than 15,000 comments from fans, many of whom praised him for going out of his way to help people.

‘This man really went out and got a full set for educational purposes [and] our well-being. King behavior, one person wrote, while another agreed: ‘It’s the dedication for me.’

‘The fact that this man put on acrylic nails to gain insight on how difficult things are with them just to educate and help women,’ someone else shared.

The video was such a hit that he filmed a few follow-ups while his electric blue nails were still on.

Robin couldn’t help but laugh as he fumbled with a bobby while trying to pick the locks on the handcuffs he had on his wrists.

‘Why is everything so difficult? Why do you guys wear these things?’ he asked.

And while he did, in fact, open the handcuffs, he admitted that ‘it’s definitely difficult to do this with acrylics on.’

In his most recent clip, he challenged himself to escape zip ties with the nails on, joking in the caption: ‘I’m getting my money’s worth.’

Although Robin fumbled with his shoelaces because of the nails, he was able to grab a lace from each shoe and tie them together through the zip tie.

Then, he did a bicycle motion with his legs until the shoelaces burned through the plastic, freeing him.

‘Guess I can [escape with long nails],’ he said.
