A supermarket worker was left ‘non-stop shaking’ after she was viciously bashed by a group of teenagers allegedly trying to steal a bottle of vodka.

Hana had been working at the Healesville Village Grocer, about 64km north-east of Melbourne’s CBD, when three teenage girls entered the store.

The 33-year-old said they made a beeline for the liquor section before one teenager ran from the store holding a bottle of vodka and a Vodka Cruiser.

In CCTV from the store, Hana is seen running after the teenager before attempting to lock the store’s sliding door – momentarily trapping the two other girls inside.

Seconds later, one of the teens opens the door before grabbing Hana by the hair and spinning her around until she fell forward onto the footpath.

The teens landed at least 10 blows on the worker’s head and kicked her in the ribs.

The trio, who are described as being in their ‘early teens’, were seen running on the Maroondah Highway at about 9am following the incident on January 2.

Hana said she has been left traumatised by the incident.

‘I was shaking non-stop for three hours, when the police interviewed me I was still shaking,’ she told the Herald Sun.

‘When I took myself to the doctor I was still shaking.

‘I couldn’t sleep for two or three nights.’

Hana think she suffered a hairline fracture to her shoulder after being thrown to the ground and says the pain has gotten worse.

‘At the time I didn’t think it would be that dangerous because they’re just teenagers, I thought I could take care of them,’ she said.

No charges have been laid with Victoria Police urging anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.

‘It is believed three female offenders walked into a store and attempted to steal alcohol from a supermarket on the Maroondah Highway about 9am,’ a police statement read.

‘One of the offenders pushed her way out of the shop and grabbed the victim, punching and kicking her on the footpath.

‘The three teenagers fled the scene with the stolen goods.’
