Caroll contracted the virus weeks before lockdown was implemented in the UK with Vicky admitted she was ‘terrified’ as she watched her struggle to breath.

She said: ‘She’s still feeling exhausted and has a lot of difficulty breathing. I didn’t know what to do. To hear her struggling and so weak, not being able to comfort her was the most difficult thing. I felt helpless. I was terrified for her.

‘It’s such an evil disease that when someone gets it you can’t give them comfort, care and love. She is now feeling a lot better.’

Vicky is currently self-isolating with her boyfriend Ercan Ramadan and told how she can’t wait to see her mother in person again to give her a hug.

The reality star urged people to stay indoors, saying the quicker everyone abides by government guidelines, the quicker they can see their friends and family again.

It comes after Vicky admitted she was feeling ‘gutted’ her exotic holidays have been cancelled this year.

The TV personality was feeling down that her far-flung getaways with boyfriend Ercan Ramadan have been called off due to the coronavirus pandemic, while acknowledging there are far more important things going on in the world.

The down-to-earth star said it was only human to have a little ‘whinge’ before focusing on what really matters – the safety and health of our loved ones.

Vicky’s musings about her wanderlust in these troubled times was accompanied by a throwback bikini snap.

‘We’re all allowed to be upset that our plans got cancelled, we’re allowed to be sad we aren’t going on holiday, you’re allowed to be gutted that the wedding of you dreams has been postponed.

‘Just remember that, it doesn’t make you a bad person, it makes you a person with feelings that was excited for something.

‘And don’t let some self righteous person convince you that you’re selfish, because you’ve had a little moan that you’re gutted you can’t go away.

‘It’s perfectly normal. As long as we’ve all got some perspective and know that there’s bigger things happening- we can all allow ourselves a little whinge from time to time.

‘I like to do mine over a gin, to ercan. (Yip, he’s a lucky man! Why don’t we all have a good little whinge and moan at each other now, grieve for our lost holidays, it’ll be cathartic!’

Vicky went on to reveal that she’s excited about what trips she can plan in future when all of this is behind us.

She continued: ‘Then we can go on with the rest of our days, being grateful we have our health and that not only are we safe at home- but also safe in the knowledge we’ll get to our dream destinations one day.

‘Remember we are all in this together So in the meantime we may not be allowed to travel, but we are certainly still allowed to dream..

‘and I’ve been doing just that!! I’ve added about 15 places to my bucket list already!!! Including cappadocia in Turkey?? With all the hot air balloons- have you seen it?!

‘Head over to my other account @vickysvacays for the most magical video of it!! So come on, where are we all dreaming about being?!!

‘It is perfectly normal, and essential to dream, to have hope for the future for when our lives are open again but remember it is just as important to live in the here and now, and be aware of what is going on around you and be aware of who may need our help, love and support’.
