Victim in Hollywood poker murder threatened wife with Uzi and feared enemies were out to kill him

The Israeli partygoer gunned down close to the Hollywood home of Adam DeVine was a yacht-owning auto tycoon with a horrifying history of domestic violence, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.

Emil Lahaziel, 39, had been to a poker party at the home of self-styled ‘King of Instagram’ Tony Toutouni and was shot dead in the front driveway around 2am Wednesday.

The dead man owned a stash of guns – including an Uzi which he repeatedly pointed at his petrified wife’s face, according to court records.

‘I do not believe my husband is capable of stopping the abuse towards me,’ his wife Lily wrote in one complaint to the police.

Lahaziel had also expressed fears that unnamed enemies wanted to kill him because of ‘activities’ he was involved in before moving to the US, according to the documents, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com.

Cops identified Lahaziel as the man shot dead early Wednesday morning outside Toutouni’s $1.8 million rented home. Pitch Perfect star DeVine, 39, and his wife Chloe Bridges witnessed the killing from their balcony.

Lily Lahaziel posted sweet memories of her husband but in reality their marriage had been scarred by frequent acts of violence

A neighbor told DailyMail.com that the a man believed to be the killer turned up at Toutouni’s house shortly before 2am and started talking to Lahaziel, who then went back inside to the poker party and the alleged shooter took off.

Minutes later he returned and asked the valet to go get Lahaziel. The valet returned and told the shooter that Lahaziel told him to come into the house.

After spending minutes inside the house the shooter came back outside with  Lahaziel following.

Seconds later Lahaziel fell to the ground and the assailant ran off.

Toutouni, 52, has riled neighbors since moving into the Hollywood home with his wild parties and for racing through the area of narrow winding streets with his expensive cars which include a Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini.

‘He’s a piece of s**t,’ said one person living on the street. ‘He’s garbage.

‘His Instagram page is disgusting and I’m appalled he’s our neighbor.

‘He’s doesn’t belong in this neighborhood. Most of the neighbors want him to leave. He’s a misogynistic pig.’

Toutouni, a platinum-haired Guy Fieri lookalike, has also become notorious on social media where he claims his Instagram page Lunatic Living has 1.5 million followers. The site has several pictures of women in compromising and degrading situations, fast cars and lavish displays of cash.

He wrote on his Instagram page, ‘Hated by women for my honesty. Shadow banned by Instagram, banned by Onlyfans. But loved by many whos (sic) lives I’ve changed & thats all that matters.’

He also wrote: ‘When u make at least a mil a month, talk to me until then shut ur mouth, watch and learn.

On his Twitter profile, he says: ‘If ur married DONT FOLLOW ME. If u have a GF DONT FOLLOW ME Or you will lose them and thank me.’

Since Wednesday’s killing Toutouni has told neighbors that the dead man was in LA because he was trying to buy a boat from him. He had specifically asked if he could go to one of Toutouni’s poker parties.

Several attempts were made to contact Iran-born Toutouni but he did not respond.

One neighbor told DailyMail.com ‘Tony is freaking out about what happened at his house.

‘He’s trying to distance himself from it to be as far away as possible. I’m sure he’s worried about being connected to a murder it can’t be good for his following.’

The victim was an Israeli immigrant who has owned a string of businesses and glitzy properties in south Florida, most recently a $6 million waterfront home in upscale Hallandale Beach.

Lahaziel and his glamorous wife Lily, 39, bought the four-bed property earlier this year for just over $4 million despite having flirted with separation for the past five years.

She posted family portraits of her slain husband on Instagram this week along with a glowing tribute, writing in Hebrew: ‘Rest in peace Emil. May you know no more sorrow, be strong my soul.’

But DailyMail.com can reveal that behind the scenes their seven-year marriage was plagued by allegations of abuse with Lily filing for divorce in 2018 and again last year before voluntarily withdrawing her petitions on both occasions.

The pair, who married in 2016 and have three kids together, were outwardly successful and flashed their wealth in social media posts of private jets, luxury vacations and swimming pools.

They owned four more Florida properties, including a second $4.25 million mansion, and a yacht, according to their latest discontinued divorce.

But Lily, who runs her own retail consulting firm in Miami Beach, sought restraining orders against her 6ft 6in, 250-pound husband on two occasions, begging a judge in Broward County, Florida, for protection.

'My husband has threatened to kill me on too many occasions for me to count,' Lily Lahaziel said in complaints to police about his domestic violence

‘My husband has threatened to kill me on too many occasions for me to count,’ Lily Lahaziel said in complaints to police about his domestic violence

One application followed a December 2017 incident in which Lahaziel, who has two more two children from a previous relationship, got into a ‘verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation’ with his petite spouse, according to an arrest affidavit.

‘The defendant started intentionally punching the victim several times in the face and head with a close fist, after which the defendant forcefully pushed the victim to the ground,’ the complaint states.

Lily suffered a ‘large, swollen bleeding lump to the back of her head and small scratches on her neck and around her left wrist area,’ the filing adds.

Lahaziel was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and booked into the Broward County jail. He pleaded not guilty and the case was dropped a year later, records show.

Lily told DailyMail.com on Thursday night: ‘We are not divorced, we had no plans to divorce.

‘He was my husband and the father to my children. Any marital disputes that we may have had were always resolved.

‘I will not be making a statement at this time.’

A second domestic violence petition filed by Lily in 2018 revealed she had only known her husband for a ‘few months’ prior to their wedding.‘

My husband has repeatedly pushed me down … hit me, grabbed me, and repeatedly spit in my face,’ she alleged.‘

He has thrown things at my head, he has threatened to take our children and hide them from me.‘

He has a temporary residence card in the United States and has told me that as a result of some of the activities he did out of the country that there are people that are looking to kill him.‘

He has threatened me with a firearm on numerous occasions. He has pointed the firearms at my face on numerous occasions.’

She added: ‘I do not think my husband is capable of stopping the abuse towards me.’

Lily went on to reveal she suffered a miscarriage prior to the birth of her second child due to ‘stress and fear.’

She said her husband – who arrived in the US eight years ago and has run car dealerships, a towing firm and a boat hire company – didn’t fear the police because he had been jailed before.‘

On many occasions I have slept in my car for safety because I have nowhere to go. My husband controlled all of the money,’ Lily added.‘

My husband has threatened to kill me on too many occasions for me to count.’

Despite the shocking nature of the allegations Lily’s demand for a permanent restraining order was voluntarily dismissed in February 2019.
