Four elderly women returning home from line dancing have been killed in a horror crash.
The women, aged between 64 and 75, were travelling in a Kia that was hit by another car that allegedly failed to slow down at a stop sign before careering into them in Navarre, Victoria, last night.
A 64-year-old woman from Stawell, who was driving the second car, is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and will be interviewed by the police.
Four elderly women returning home from line dancing have been killed in a horror crash
Emergency crews rushed to the scene in Navarre, near Ararat, on Saturday evening.
The vehicle carrying the four women was travelling southbound on Ararat-St Arnaud Road when it collided with a car travelling west bound on Bains Road, police said.
The four women who died were a 75-year-old from Hamilton, a 74-year-old from Hamilton, a 72-year-old from Portland, and a 64-year-old from Hayward
The Major Collision Investigation Unit will investigate the collision.
