This is the horrifying moment a gunman opened fire in broad daylight in the middle of a New York street, shooting his victim in the head.
Video shows the suspect walking toward his target, holding the firearm with an outstretched right arm last Saturday around 7.40pm.
The footage – captured by a surveillance camera at a nearby building in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood – shows the shooter blast several bullets.
The suspect – seen wearing blue jeans, hat and a dark hooded jacket – had been arguing with the victim’s son before he used the weapon on the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Prospect Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn

Police say the victim was a 39-year-old man. The victim is not seen in the video frame.
The suspect – seen wearing blue jeans, hat and a dark hooded jacket – had been arguing with the victim’s son before he used the weapon on the intersection of Nostrand Avenue and Prospect Place.
After the brazen act, the clip released by Crime Stoppers shows the suspect fleeing west.
Despite the injury, the victim managed to get himself to hospital.

The victim is in stable condition at Interfaith Medical Center, the New York Daily News reports.
Police say the suspect is still on the loose and asks for anyone with information to help.
