VIDEO: England fan saves his beer from jumping fans

What a save! Hilarious moment drinker grabs his beers as England supporters leap onto pub tables to celebrate Kane’s goal against Germany

  • An England fan was filmed in a pub saving his beer during goal celebrations
  • The footage was shot by Kaiya Melanie, 18, from Romford, Essex on Tuesday
  • Ms Melaine said fans threw beer into the air when Raheem Sterling scored
  • The fan did not want to risk the remained of his pint when England scored again

This is the hilarious moment a pub goer was less interested in England’s second goal against Germany than saving the final third of his pint of Carlsberg from jumping fans.

Internal Recruitment coordinator Kaiya Melanie, 18, from Romford, Essex was watching Gareth Southgate’s men during their late victory against Germany.

Ms Melanie, who was not born when Southgate missed his penalty against Germany at Wembley Stadium during Euro 1996, was filming the reaction to Harry Kane’s goal which was moments after Thomas Mueller had a chance to equalise.

She was with friends at The Lord Stanley in Plaistow, east London.

When Raheem Sterling steered in the first goal patrons in the pub threw pints of lager into the air, drenching everyone in beer.

Taking no chance this time, the man, who has not been identified, grabs the remainder of his pint and a tall glass in case a bouncing fan knocked them over.

Ms Melanie told MailOnline: ‘It’s a great pub, my friend’s mum runs it so the atmosphere is always happy.

‘In the garden they have TVs and music.

‘Normally because of covid restrictions we have to sit on the benches but I think the crowd got a bit too excited!’

Ms Melanie expects to return to the bar on Saturday afternoon when England face Ukraine at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

It is the first time during the tournament that England are playing away. No England fans are allowed to travel to the game as Italy has the country on its own version of a Covid-19 red list.
