The video has sparked fury among Facebook users who criticize the unnamed officer for hurting the dog after it didn’t provide a signal of finding something suspicious with the vehicle.
‘He need to write himself a ticket for animal cruelty,’ one outraged Facebook user wrote.
‘He need to be arrested for animal abuse. The man in the car should get the cop for harassment,’ another added.

‘That officer does not deserve that dog. He needs to be taken off of him. That hard pull on his leash was not necessary,’ a Facebook user wrote.
A citizen in the area filed a report for animal abuse against the officer, according to WSVN.
